Explore the former Nazi concentration camp, preserved intact as a reminder of the crimes committed against humanity. Begin your tour at Auschwitz I, the former main camp and administrative headquarters of the camp complex. See countless photographs and belongings of the prisoners and witness the spot where Rudolf Hess — the longest-serving commander of the camp — was executed in 1947 as a war criminal. After a short break, head to Auschwitz II, the site of the concentration camp. Witness the ruins of crematoria, gas chambers, the railway platform, and other elements. Learn about the dark history of World War II as you walk. Gain deep insights into the Holocaust from your expert guide.
