Itinerary

  1. 1

    The Rila monastery

Your journey begins at 08:30 AM at our Sofia base, where your biker guide will help you gear up, get acquainted with your bike, and conduct a brief safety orientation before we roar toward the horizon. The morning ride is a masterclass in scenic diversity. We start with a sweeping, high-speed run along a stunning scenic highway, allowing you to settle into the rhythm of the road as the urban landscape of Sofia fades into the jagged silhouette of the Rila Mountains. After approximately 90 minutes of smooth cruising, the terrain shifts. We transition onto 30 kilometers of pristine mountain asphalt, a section legendary among local riders for its rhythmic curves and hairpin turns. Upon arrival, we swap our helmets for a journey back in time. Your guide will lead you through the monastery’s grand stone arches for an exclusive walking tour. After walking the complex and absorbing its history, we’ll break for a traditional monastery lunch in the crisp mountain air.

  2. 2

    Pancharevo Lake Dam

The adventure continues as we begin our circuitous return to Sofia, riding around the southern slopes of the Rila Mountains. This route offers wide-open vistas and a fresh perspective on the Balkan landscape. We’ll make a strategic stop in the historic town of Samokov for a coffee break and refueling before embarking on the day’s "Grand Finale": a stunning lakeside ride alongside the winding shores of the Pancharevo Water Dam. This scenic stretch provides the perfect cooling-off period, with the sun glistening on the water as we navigate the final curves back to our Sofia garage. By late afternoon, you’ll return with more than just miles on the odometer—you’ll return with the story of Bulgaria etched into your memory.
