Discover the splendor of Río Secreto Nature Reserve: Journey to the heart of a cenote, and in the silence of the underground cave, marvel at the cathedrals of stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years. As you wade through clear turquoise water, an expert guide explains the geological secrets behind these limestone formations and points out local flora and fauna. Out of the caves and back in the jungle, enjoy a tasty buffet lunch featuring Mayan cuisine.

Arrival at the reception and services area, at this point we will see a Welcome video after we will get on the road for about 15 minutes to go to the Rio Secreto reserve.

Once we arrived at the reserve our certified guides will talk to you about the security instructions and provide you all the necessary equipment to perform this activity safely.

Before we enter in to this river considered as the underworld by the mayans we need to ask for permission to their gods on a Mayan ceremony perform by a local Shaman

Rio Secreto
Rio Secreto is one of the most impressive natural places in Playa del Carmen, it is an underground river surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites that give an ancient air to this space that has been formed for thousands of years. Let us led you by one of our trained guides on one and a half our and family friendly tour. We will be able to walk and swim across its clear and fresh water.
