Explore the rise and fall of the apartheid at the Apartheid Museum, the first of its kind, in Johannesburg. Embark on an emotional 3-hour journey with a guide, and hear the sad story of a state-sanctioned system based on racial discrimination and the struggle of the majority to overthrow this tyranny. After pickup from your hotel in Johannesburg, make your way with your guide to the Apartheid Museum. Once you've entered the museum, discover a series of 22 individual exhibition areas assembled and organized by a multi-disciplinary team of curators, filmmakers, historians, and designers.

Learn about the policy of apartheid, implemented in 1948 by the white elected National Party government, which turned 20 million people into second class citizens, damning them to a life of servitude, humiliation, and abuse. See provocative film footage, photographs, text panels, and artifacts illustrating the events and human stories of apartheid. Bring your dramatic journey to an end with the election of Nelson Mandela, the prisoner you became president, in 1994. The liberation of the nation and people of South Africa from apartheid is the climax of a tale of resistance, courage, and fortitude. It is not uncommon for 3 hours in the museum to feel too short. The local partner's guides will try to adjust the schedule to your liking if this is the case for you. After your museum visit, the tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel in Johannesburg.

Enjoy the mesmerizing African sunset. 7:30 PM: Return to the lodge for a lavish three-course dinner under the stars, complemented by fine South African wines. 9:00 PM: Leisure time. Relax by the campfire, share stories of the day's sightings, or enjoy a nightcap at the lodge bar.

Day 02: Hot Air Balloon Flight and Departure
5:00 AM: Early morning wake-up call. Light refreshments and coffee served at the lodge. 5:30 AM: Transfer to the hot air balloon launch site. 6:00 AM: Hot Air Balloon Flight. Experience the magic of a sunrise balloon flight over the African savanna. Marvel at the stunning landscapes and wildlife from a unique aerial perspective. 8:00 AM: Champagne breakfast upon landing. Celebrate your flight with a glass of bubbly and a gourmet breakfast in a picturesque setting. 10:00 AM: Return to the lodge for check-out. 11:00 AM: Leisure time. Enjoy the lodge’s facilities, take a dip in the pool, or indulge in a spa treatment (optional, extra cost). 12:30 PM: Farewell lunch. Savor your last meal at the lodge’s restaurant. 2:00 PM: Horseback Safari. Embark on a guided horseback safari, offering a unique perspective and closer interaction with the wildlife. 4:00 PM: Departure. Transfer back to the starting point or onward travel arrangements.
