Enjoy a spectacular tour from the City of Salzburg to the Bavarian alpine region along the gorgeous Kings-Lake stream up to the Obersalzberg. Get a glimpse at the famous Eagles Nest, which holds a lot of interesting history about the Third Reich and the Second World War.
Shortly after you´ll reach the highlight of the tour - the 500 year old salt mines in Berchtesgaden. Dressed with traditional miners’ clothes, a special train brings you deep into the mountain. A spectacular underground world is waiting for you! Discover the special magnificently illuminated subterranean scenery and the fascinating charm of the world of the salt-miners. Take the slide down to the spectacular salt lake which you will be crossing by boat. After the tour through the mines you will be visiting the picturesque town of Berchtesgaden where you have the possibility to try savoring some traditional Bavarian specialties.

Salt Mine Tour
Take a breathtaking ride from the city of Salzburg into the Bavarian Alps along the Kings Lake-Ache up to the Obersalzberg, where the second headquarters of Third Reich used to be. Afterwards, the tour continues to its highlight – the 500 year old Salt Mine Berchtesgaden. Slip into traditional miners’ clothes and take the miners’ train deep into the mountain. Experience the fascinating underground world of the salt-miners and discover the charm of the magnificently illuminated subterranean landscape. Take the slides down to the salt lake which you will be crossing by boat.
